Through its annual series of Tech & Skills regional conferences, AERA, the Engine Builders Association, says engine builders can gain industry knowledge and network with other people without the traveling expense of going to a national trade show. AERA will again team up with regional hosts to offer educational and networking opportunities in different regions of the country.
”Engine technology is changing at a rapid pace, and engine builders either have to keep up or get left behind,” says Bob Davis of Sunnen Products Company. “At Sunnen our goal is to keep our customers on the leading edge of bore sizing technology, and the best way to do that is through continual education. We are happy to partner with AERA via the regional tech conferences to help their members keep up with the very latest processes and equipment.”
Regional conferences provide technical presentations and unique shop skills instruction to all who attend. Along with the outlined technical programs, leading manufacturers of engine building/rebuilding tools, supplies, services, parts and machinery are invited to attend these conferences. Meeting suppliers in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to begin lifelong relationships that will help you prosper.
The clinics will be held:
- May 6, hosted by SUNNEN and MAHLE at Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, NC.
- Oct 7-8 hosted by SPEEDWAY MOTORS in Lincoln, NE
- Oct 14 hosted by EPWI and TOTAL SEAL in Phoenix, AZ
“At MAHLE we believe with great conviction that we have an obligation to support education for technicians across all of our product lines serving the aftermarket,” explains Bill McKnight, Mahle Marketing (Team Leader -Training). “Those initiatives include the recently announced AERA engine MAHLE Aftermarket Inc.
Marketing (Team Leader-Training)rebuilding seminars for 2016, the PERA series of webinairs offered to the industry each year, our own eLearning classes available to all technicians, over 130 instructional videos available on our YouTube channel and a soon-to-be announced Industry collaborative with three other well-known automotive suppliers to make quality education available to automotive technicians across the USA.”
