Understanding that education and training are vital to the future of the North American auto care industry, Garage Gurus™, Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ technical education platform, has launched a new give-back program for 2017 in conjunction with the launch of its 2017 training catalog.  During the months of October and November, company representatives will visit customers to offer advanced enrollment for 2017 technician training sessions at one of the 12 state-of-the-art Garage Gurus locations nationwide.  When a customer reserves a week of technical training through this program, Federal-Mogul Motorparts will donate $200 to the local technical or vocational school of the customer’s choice in their name.

Located in major metropolitan centers through the U.S., Garage Gurus on-site training is within reach of tens of thousands of technicians, service writers, repair shop owners and parts professionals.  Throughout 2017, additional training modules and classes, including test preparation courses for various ASE certifications and an increased number of evening and weekend classes, will be offered.

“Once again, Garage Gurus is taking the lead in driving the future of the automotive repair industry through our support of local vocational and technical schools,” said Laura Soave, senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “Through our 2017 program offerings, our customers will be able to take advantage of our CASE-accredited courses for technician training, assuring that their techs are current with the latest techniques and installation methods.  As they do, they will be helping ensure the next generation of repair technicians in their local communities.”

Launched in 2015, Garage Gurus helps technicians and other service professionals keep pace with the latest vehicle technologies through more than 100 diagnostic and repair workshops and related technical support. The network’s curriculum is available through each of its regional training centers; online via www.FMgaragegurus.com; on-demand through the award-winning Garage Gurus app; and on the job via Web-connected “Gurus-On-The-Go” product technology vans that visit repair locations throughout the workday. Each course, offered in English and Spanish, is taught by one of Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ more than 100 ASE-certified “Gurus.”
