Pennzoil to Conduct Twitter Chat with Company's Lead Scientists

Pennzoil will provide fans with the opportunity to have their motor oil-related questions answered by some of the industry's top scientists, Dr. Robert Sutherland, Pennzoil technology manager, and Dr. Allison Falender, lubricants technology manager.

In an effort to continue providing fans with motor oil advice, Pennzoil will be conducting a Twitter Chat with some of its lead scientists. Pennzoil fans will be able to ask questions to its top scientists, Dr. Sutherland and Dr. Falender. This event marks the next wave of social media engagement for Pennzoil as a part of the Long Love Cars campaign, an initiative that focuses on common themes associated with automotive passion, including music and freedom, as well as sharing the joy with others.

To connect one-on-one with consumers, a multi-faceted social media plan for the Pennzoil brand was launched earlier this year using a variety of platforms. Automobile enthusiasts now have the ability to join and follow various groups created just for them including a Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/Pennzoil), a Twitter account (@Pennzoil) and a branded YouTube channel (www.YouTube.com/Pennzoil).

The scientists from Pennzoil will be answering fans' questions live via Twitter through the use of the custom hashtag #PZChat. The Pennzoil Twitter Chat will take place on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. EST, and all are encouraged to follow Pennzoil on Twitter (www.Twitter.com/Pennzoil), watch the live feed and tweet their motor oil questions using the custom hashtag #PZChat.
