Easy-Install LS EFI
'Wiredless' System Incorporates EFI Electronics Into Fuel Rails, Simplifiying Installation and Improving Aesthetics
The GM LS-based engine is lightweight, compact, and powerful. It fits easily where most small block engines were originally. Hot rodders, muscle car fans and racers alike have embraced the powerplant and are tackling engine swaps with more regularity. However, two areas that cause car guys to waiver on doing an LS engine swap are the intimidating electronics, and complicated PC programming. The massive factory ECU is not only a hassle to mount, but the sheer amount of wires that goes along with it is simply overbearing. Plus, all of this wiring causes the need for huge looms to be snaked through the engine compartment creating a nest of wires instead of a clean, tidy appearance. MSD now has a solution that eliminates this wiring aggravation, Atomic LS!
MSD is breaking new ground in electronic fuel injection with the next generation of Atomic EFI the all new Atomic LS. Atomic LS incorporates the electronics into the fuel rails of the system! There’s no bulky ECU to mount and therefore no wires to route to and from it’s all on the engine, hidden in plain sight. This innovative design and advanced technology drastically reduces the wiring of an LS fuel injection system. Instead of guiding a massive loom of wires from the ECU to the injectors, coil packs and associated engine sensors, the Atomic LS requires only a short length of wires that run from the fuel rail assembly to each specific sensor (all with factory connectors in place). Not only does that save you time and aggravation from wiring, but it improves the overall cleanliness of the engine compartment.
Integrated fuel rails and ECU significantly reduces the amount of wire
- Improves the aesthetics of the engine bay with less wires and no ECU to mount
- No PC required; each system is supplied with a handheld monitor
- Self-learning technology eases the setup and initial tuning
- Compatible with return or returnless fuel systems
- Supports up to 1,000 hp, nitrous and boosted applications
- Complete kits for specific LS engines
Two master kits are being launched p/n 2950 for LS2/LS3 engines and p/n 2690 for the LS7. Kits are designed for factory style intake manifolds and injectors. Two supporting kits are available to cover the LS1/LS6 (p/n 2955) and for the LQ9 truck engine (p/n 2956).
