K1 Connecting Rods and Crankshafts Now Available Through Wiseco Piston
Wiseco is proud to announce the addition of K1 crankshafts and connecting rods to our lineup. K1 specializes in supplying the needs of sportsman racers and professionals alike. With a strong company ethic for innovation and extremely high quality standards, K1 is the perfect match for Wiseco and our customers.
K1 crankshafts are made from a true 4340 forging, core hardened and tempered to reduce stress and optimize tensil strength. Straight oiling to the journals ensures constant flow rather than stalling at intersection as seen with cross drilled cranks. Wide pin-end widths are designed to support the wrist pin, reducing pin flex and associated problems. Along with excellent journal dimensional tolerance, .0002˝ maximum, counter weights are placed for optimal load reduction and ease of balancing.
K1 connecting rods are made from a 4340 steel forging. These connecting rods have no ridge between the blades to act as a stress riser and the rod offset is designed to center small end to bore center. The big end housing bore is held to a +/- .000050˝- 50 millionths. Proprietary bolts produced by ARP to K1 specifications have asymmetrical threads to equally load each thread when under tension.
