Darton Announces its New M.I.D. Kit for the VOLVO I5 LPT
When it comes to supplying the latest and the most innovative sleeves in the market Darton Sleeves wins hands down. Darton now introduces a new patented M.I.D. Sleeve Kit for the VOLVO I5 LPT. Sharing the same open deck configuration of other popular smaller engines the I5 LPT is limited by it’s stock bore size and the amount of power it can support. The block can now support pistons ranging from 83mm – 85mm max.
With the new patented M.I.D. Sleeve Kit you can now convert the block to a closed deck utilizing the M.I.D. wet sleeve. This will allow you to take the stock bore size out to a much larger bore size and still easily handle 50+ pounds of boost at any compression. Since the kit is a wet sleeve design this allows you to change individual sleeves or all 5 without needing to re-machine the block. So if you damage just one or two cylinders you can replace the damaged ones allowing you to continually use the block over again. Darton also offers installation of the kit with a 15 day turn around.
