GM To Sell Used Cars On eBay Motors
General Motors has decided to sell its used vehicles on eBay Morts, a move that could significantly change the used-car business. According to a recent Automotive News report, 3,900 auto dealers who sell GM’s Certified Used Cars will list their entire inventories on eBay Motors.
The GM Certified brand includes certified used Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac and Oldsmobile vehicles. Cadillac, Hummer, Saab and Saturn have separate certified used-vehicle programs, but their certified-used inventories will be listed on the site, too. The agreement enables dealers to show their certified-used inventory to eBay Motors’ 11 million visitors.
GM is currently working with eBay Motors to finish the site, according to company sources. The certified-used vehicle inventory of GM dealers is listed on more than 300 Web sites, including AutoTrader.com and Cars.com.
