Showpower 2009 to Include Jasper Tour and Seminar
Shop operators and technicians participating in Showpower 2009 will have an opportunity to tour a Jasper Engines and Transmissions remanufacturing facility and take part in a specialized technical and sales seminar. Showpower, Transmission/Undercar Expo, is set for March 26-28, 2009, at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, KY.
Showpower Coordinator Michelle Dickemann said the tour of the remanufacturing operation on Thursday, March 26, includes motor-coach transportation from the Hyatt Regency Downtown Louisville to the facility – just a 45-minute ride.
“It’s an opportunity to see one of the world’s largest engine and transmission remanufacturers at work,” she said.
Tour guides will explain quality-assurance processes and areas where the Jasper Production System team has found ways to save time and be more efficient.
After tour participants return to Louisville, members of Jasper’s training team will conduct a classroom seminar for technicians and managers on selling, testing and installation of these remanufactured engines and transmissions.
