Egge Piston for 1963 Pontiac 326 cid V8, 10.25:1 Compression Ratio

Egge Pistons are now available for 1963 Pontiac 326 cid V8 engines with 10.25:1 Compression Ratio (Part# L2190)

The 326 was a shorter stroked 389. Top it off with a 4-bbl carb for a higher compression motor to the 2-bbl 326. This little monster was offered in the Tempest and an optional HO V8 for LeMans. In 1967 it was a high compression option on the new Firebird with overhead valves, and hydraulic lifters.

The double almond valve pockets on the piston heads are cut sharp to grip the burst and minimize "pocket turbulence" in the combustion chamber. Details like this are great examples showing the complexities of Egge's steel hydraulic molds.
