New 10 Degree Titanium Valve Spring Retainers
High performance retainers for dual, triple and beehive spring applications are CNC machined in the U.S.A. from 6AL4V alloy.
The Engine Parts Group, Inc. (EPGI) has launched a new series of 10 degree
titanium valve spring retainers for dual, triple and beehive spring applications under
the Engine Pro brand name. These high performance retainers are CNC machined
in the U.S.A. from lab tested 6AL4V alloy.
President of EPGI, Thomas Hobson, says, “Builders of high performance race
engines have really embraced titanium retainers because they lighten the valve train,
are stronger than aluminum retainers, and perform well at extremely high rpm’s.”
Despite the value-oriented pricing of Engine Pro titanium retainers, Hobson says
that they are manufactured to the tightest tolerances in the industry. “Engine
builders are sometimes surprised to learn that there can be a significant variance in
the dimensions of retainers from some manufacturers, even within sets. We’ve
worked hard to make sure that the critical dimensions of all of our retainers fall
within .001 of an inch of each other.”
