Hyundai 2.7L V6 Rocker Cover Ventilation System Change



The rocker cover ventilation system has been changed on all 2.7L V6 engines. The blow-by nipple and hose has been deleted from both rocker covers.

 

The rocker cover ventilation system has been changed on all 2.7L V6 engines. The blow-by nipple and hose has been deleted from both rocker covers. Small plates have been added to the breather plate on the LH (Bank 2, see Figure 1) rocker cover assembly and a drain pipe has been added on the RH (Bank 1, see Figure 2) rocker cover assembly.

Vehicles Affected:

• Santa Fe: Produced March 25, 2004 - Current

• Sonata: Produced March 25, 2004 - End of 2005 MY

• Tiburon: Produced March 25, 2004 - Current

• Tucson: Produced August 9, 2004 - Current

The new part design is not interchangable with the previous part design.
