Refined intake manifold to produce more horsepower with 23-degree SBC heads
The new Hurricane+Plus is a major refinement to the extremely popular Hurricane, long been recognized as the best performing single plane manifold for SB Chevys with 23-degree heads. Now the Hurricane+Plus offers improvements that will produce from 12 to over 20 horsepower (depending on the exact engine combination) over the standard Hurricane.
According to Steve Hart, with Team Z Racing, a long time circle track racecar owner who has won many championships with the Hurricane, the switch to the Hurricane+Plus produced so much extra top end power he had to switch gear ratios. "Awesome, very responsive," wrote Steve, "send two more Hurricane+Plus manifolds."
Various dyno tests on engines ranging from 350 to 400-CID have shown anywhere from 7, to as much as 20 more horsepower, over the standard Hurricane on 23-degree head engines.
