Thick Wall High Temp Shrink Tubes

Protect wires, connections and terminals from damaging fluids and temperatures over 390°.

Design Engineering, Inc, the world leader in thermal tuning products, has just expanded its lineup of Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes.  New 3, 6 and 9mm sizes have been added along with an assortment pack consisting of a 4-foot length of each to round out the shrink tube category. These three new sizes join the existing line of 12, 18 and 24mm.

Shrink tubes have long offered an excellent way to insulate and protect electrical connections from dust, solvents and other foreign material as well as providing strain relief.  Other shrink tube uses include insulating wires, connections and terminals and meets the material and functional properties of MIL Spec DTL-23053/5C.

Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes’ 3:1 shrink ratio remains flexible and due to its thick wall construction is capable of withstanding temperature ranges of -67°F (-55°C) to 275°F (135°C) with a maximum operating temperature of 394°F (201°C) during short durations of 30 to 60 minutes.  Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes are easy to install by applying 120° F to 180°F of heat to form a water tight seal. These shrink tubes are made from a professional grade flame retardant polyolefin.

As an alternative to plastic ties and tape, Hi-Temp Shrink Tubes can be used to bundle wires, cables and hoses, to repair wire, splicing, termination and offers corrosion and abrasion protection.
