Hastings All Steel Nitride Racing Rings
Hastings is the first to offer all Gas-Nitride Stainless Steel Rings with Ceramic PVD Coatings. They are specifically designed for super-high horsepower engines using any racing fuel and injections such as nitrous oxide!
Hastings Tough Guy® All Steel Nitride (SN) Racing Rings are the first to include all three rings in Gas-Nitride hardened stainless steel. Plus, a Ceramic PVD coating is applied to the face of the torsional barrel top ring and the stainless steel rails of the Flex-Vent® oil ring.
The 2nd groove ring is Gas-Nitride stainless steel with a Napier profile, a design that ensures optimum durability and oil scraping capability under extreme performance conditions.
The hardening and coating processes provide far superior wear resistance to the entire ring set. The Ceramic PVD coating results in a very low coefficient of friction, thus reducing drag significantly, as well as providing high scuff and heat resistance, and excellent sealing. This translates to measurably improved output for super-high horsepower engines, or more horsepower.
The Gas-Nitride and Ceramic PVD are completely compatible to Nikasil-coated cylinder bores.
