New Vintage Cast Pistons
Cast aluminum pistons available for Chrysler, Ford and Chevy applications.
Egge Machine Company has introduced brand new cast aluminum pistons for vintage applications including p/n E 279 for Chrysler/Desoto 1942-49 250 and 1950-51 251, 6 cylinders. The 250/251 was offered in Model C34, Royale and Windsor models. This same piston was used in the 1942-50 Desoto 236 and from 51-54 Desoto 250.
In addition, Egge offers these newly machined pistons for popular vintage applications:
• Chrysler 1958 392 Hemi with 10:1 Compression Ratio and 345-390 HP depending on the carburation. The 392 was offered in the New Yorker, 300D, and Imperial models.
• Chevrolet 1958-61 348 V-8 with a compression ratio of 9.5:1. The Turbo-thrust 348 was offered in the Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, El Camino and Sedan Delivery.
• Ford 1955-57 272 Y-Block V-8 with a compression ratio of 8.0:1. The Y-Block 272 was available in the Fairlane, Mainline, Customline and Wagon.
