Cadillac CTS-V Engine Overdrive Damper Kit Available From Lingenfelter Performance Engineering
Delivers Increased Performance of Supercharged LSA Engine in 2009-2010 Models.
Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) introduces an overdrive harmonic balancer upgrade kit designed to increase the performance of the supercharged LSA engine in the 2009-2010 Cadillac CTS-V, as well as the GM Performance Parts LSA crate engine and the marine LSA engine.
Developed to improve the vehicle's horsepower and torque while maintaining a safe RPM level, the new LSA Overdrive Harmonic Balancer Upgrade Kit (part # L220050709) increases boost by raising the RPM of your supercharger, which is achieved by overdriving the supercharger from the harmonic balancer.
The kit comes with a Lingenfelter overdrive harmonic balancer, a new GM crankshaft bolt and a new GM keyed friction washer. Owner's must also purchase separately their choice between two supercharger damper pulley diameters - a 5% or a 10% pulley - that are precision machined from lightweight aluminum alloy, then hard coat anodized black for added durability.

Lingenfelter testing has shown an improvement of more than 40 rear wheel horsepower and 3.5 ft.-lbs. of boost with the 10% overdrive balancer pulley installed with the stock supercharger pulley on a stock engine.
Additional testing has shown that use of the 5% overdrive pulley results in a supercharger speed of approximately 17,800 RPM at 6,500 RPM engine speed, compared to stock performance of 16,900 RPM at the same engine speed. The 10% overdrive pulley results in a supercharger speed of 18,800 RPM.
Cadillac CTS-V drivers desiring additional power can combine the 10% overdrive pulley with Lingenfelter Performance Engineering's 2.55" diameter supercharger pulley (part # L220030709) for a resulting overdrive ratio of 30%. That translates to an impressive supercharger speed of 22,000 RPM at 6,500 RPM engine speed. With Lingenfelter's 10% overdrive pulley installed, the damper assembly weighs 13.0 lbs. - 3.45 pounds less than the stock 16.45 pound damper.
Lingenfelter's harmonic balancer kit does not replace the driven supercharger pulley on the supercharger front cover. Installation requires ECM programming to adjust ECM overboost limits.
