Heavy Duty Unit Can Balance Cranks Up to 8 ft. Long
Fentech Co., Inc. of Hermann, MO has introduced the model DCB-3000-HD crankshaft balancing machine. Designed to balance large diesel crankshafts such as the CAT 3508, 3512 and 3516, the machine can balance crankshafts up to 8' in length with a weight capacity of up to 2,000 lbs.
Features of the machine include:
• Digital Speed Control - automatically selects RPM speed to provide safe operation and maximum sensitivity. No dials or knobs to adjust.
• Automatic Shut-Off - after completing the measurements, the machine will stop automatically allowing for unattended operation.
• Bobweight Card - computes and displays bobweight based on information entered. Bobweight card is printed when optional printer is connected.
• Hard Bearing Design - exclusive design allows for greater sensitivity resulting in accurate and repeatable measurements.
• Drill Depth - calculates the proper drill depth for material removal. No charts or tables required... eliminating miscalculations.
• Printer Option - optional printer displays how much unbalance is present and the results after making corrections.
• Setup Memory - up to 100 setups can be stored in battery-backed memory. Fast retrieval allows for quick setup.
• Jog Button - allows the workpiece to rotate slowly for verification of setup and belt alignment.
• Compact Size - design features allow for floor space savings, lower shipping cost and storage under the base of the machine.
• Add/Remove Selection - with the touch of a button the proper angle and weight is displayed for either adding or removing material.
• Speed Control Safety Feature - automatically shuts machine down if unsafe condition occurs.
• Swivel Control Platform - allows user to position controller for easy access.
• Heavy-Duty Drill Tower - turns 90 degrees to allow the operator to easily drill and install heavy metal into crankshaft counter weights. Slides the full length of the balancer for ease and convenient use.
