Return of Roller X Lifters
Popular Roller Valve Lifters to Be Available Again For a Variety of Engines
After a brief business hiatus, Schubeck Racing will again be making the Roller-X Valve Lifters available. According to Joe Schubeck, the company is now shipping these unique valve lifters for the Harley Davidson Twin Cam engines and plans to have them available for certain models of Chevy, Ford and Chrysler in January of 2011.
According to Schubeck, the main benefit of the uniques Roller-X Lifters is their reliability. "They are unique in their design because the roller wheels float on a film of engine oil, just like the rod bearings, and can withstand greater spring loads necessary for faster cam action without fear of failure."
Schubeck says anyone knowledgeable about high performance engines is familiar with the unpredictable failure of the needle bearings that surround the axle inside the wheels of conventional roller lifters.
