Forged & Billet Cranks and Rotating Assemblies
Assemblies Optimized for Mitsubishi 4G63 and 4G64 Engines
Owners of Mitsubishis equipped with 4G63 and 4G64 engines with 7-bolt crankshafts can get improved power and long-term reliability with new forged and billet steel cranks from Manley Performance.
Additionally, Manley has combined these cranks with its forged steel rods and Platinum Series pistons to offer factory-matched rotating assemblies in 2.0L, 2.2L and 2.4L packages for street and competition use.
“Turbo Tuff Series” billet crankshafts are machined from heat-treated 4340 steel, feature knife-edged counterweights and hardened with a multi-step heat-treating and nitriding process. These 94mm and 100mm stroke cranks are ideally suited to high boost, high horsepower applications. Also available are 88mm and 100mm stroker forged cranks. Both employ “straight shot” priority oiling features not found in OEM-style crankshafts.
Both billet and forged cranks are stress relieved and shotpeened, Nitrided, and magnafluxed to ensure durability. Manley’s famed Platinum Series pistons are forged from 2618 alloy, have a pressure balance groove, and are offered in 85, 85.5 and 86mm bore sizes with several compression ratios.
They include moly coated skirts and premium chrome moly steel wrist pins that are integral to the piston design. For connecting rods, builders can choose between Manley’s popular H-Beam, H-Plus and “Turbo Tuff” I-Beam designs. They are forged from 4340 material and equipped with ARP rod bolts.
To complete the assemblies, Manley utilizes Total Seal piston rings and ACL Race Series narrowed rod bearings and mains.
