Liberty Engine Parts Hosts AERA Tech & Skills Conference
Liberty Engine Parts hosted the recent AERA Tech and Skills Regional Conference on March 26 at its Philadelphia Headquarters and, by several standards, the conference was a rousing success.
"We hosted more than 120 customers and 25 vendors, which are both records for these conferences," said Liberty's Tim Fisher. "Plus, we served 12 dozen fresh donuts and 12 dozen soft Philadelphia pretzels during the day in addition to authentic South Philly Italian food for lunch. So yes, you could say that we believe it went very well!"
The one-day conference included technical presentations by MAHLE Clevite's Bil McKnight ("Race Engine Bearings – Selection and Technology"); AERA's Steve Fox (PRO-SIS SA Engine Specification Software); Tom Bogner from Lucas Oil Products ("The Science behind Engine Oil and Lubricants"); and Ted "Bud" Keating from Dart Machinery (Engine Blocks & Cylinder Heads – Maximum Horsepower").
"We hoped to educate people on the technical side of the business as well as introduce them to some great parts suppliers," Fisher said. "It also gave us a great opportunity to hold an open house in our new facility."
