LS3 CNC Splayed Valve Cylinder Heads
Head Uses a Symmetrical Port Layout that Produces Greater Flow Numbers at Lower Valve Lift with Less Port Volume
Mast Motorsports, the leader in Gen IV LS hand built crate
engines and performance products, has released its most engineered aftermarket
LS cylinder head to date: The LS3
CNC Splayed Valve Cylinder Heads (p/n 510-205).
The splayed valve head uses a symmetrical port layout that
equally spaces the intake ports by using the intake-exhaust-intake-exhaust
valve layout as opposed to the OEM layout that adjoins the two center exhaust
ports in the middle of the cylinder head.
This technology produces greater flow numbers at lower valve lift with
less port volume than Mast's highly successful 11 degree LS3 Black Label heads.
This combined with the improved air/fuel mixture tumble characteristics of the
splayed valve positions results in our most efficient cylinder head design to
date.
The splayed valve 6-bolt cylinder heads are designed for any
new Gen IV LS engine with 4.000˝ or larger bore. This cylinder head accepts Gen IV LS3 valvetrain, valves
& intake manifolds without modification. It uses a 2.165˝ intake and 1.650˝
exhaust valve with a 255cc intake port and 65cc combustion chamber standard.
