Protect-A-Boots Have LR Technology for Extreme Engine Compartment Heat
Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI), introduces Titanium Protect-A-Boots, a new product designed to handle extreme high heat to provide the ultimate in thermal protection - more than any other spark boot protector on the market today.
Constructed from pulverized lava rock material that is extruded into fibers and set in an extremely tight weave, Titanium Protect-A-Boots with LR Technology have titanium-like strength yet are pliable enough to fit most straight or angled boots. This unique material and construction provides added resistance to heat, chemicals, abrasions and contaminants while providing maximum durability and toughness. While typical glass fiber material is only rated for withstanding 1,200°F, DEI’s Titanium Protect-A-Boots can handle direct heat up to 1,800°F, and radiant heat to 2,800°F.
Race, high performance street and off-road vehicles are prone to excessive enginecompartment heat that is generated from the engine block, exhaust manifold and headers. This excessive heat can jeopardize the entire ignition system leaving wires and boots vulnerable to burning, hardening or cracking. This can lead to arching, engine misfire or even full ignition system failure. Titanium Protect-A-Boots’ LR technology provides an added level of protection for high voltage ignition systems - auto, marine or powersports. This new product from DEI is now available for purchase in either a two-pack (part #010541) or eight-pack (part #010542) package.
