EQ Renews Sponsorship of IMCA Racing and IMCA Wild West Modified Tour

EngineQuest
(EQ), a manufacturer of stock replacement and performance cylinder
heads as well as a wide variety of new, remanufactured and reclaimed
engine parts, has announced that it has renewed its sponsorship
agreement with the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) for
2008. In addition to its general sponsorship of IMCA racing, EQ will
remain the title sponsor of the IMCA Wild West Modified Tour.

“We
are proud to continue our support of IMCA racing,” said Eric Haugland,
sales manager, AAEQ. “Through our TEAM EQ racing program, drivers who
race with our cylinder heads have shown great success in IMCA
competitions. We expect another great year of racing.”

IMCA
announced in December 2007 that an EQ SPEC Chevy small block cylinder
head (p/n CH 350I) is being offered as an optional head for the
organization’s Northern and Southern Sportmod divisions for 2008
competitions. These stock heads will include the IMCA logo and a unique
serial number so IMCA can track usage.

IMCA recently
changed their rules for 2008 to allow an alternative to the stock GM
cast iron heads. The EQ head is a comparable fit in flow numbers and
performance with similar dyno testing to multiple GM castings. The IMCA
divisions covered under the agreement represent more than 1,600 racers.
These special IMCA cylinder heads will be available directly from EQ in
late January at www.eqcylinderheads.com, or through an authorized
distributor.

The EQ performance cylinder head line is
designed to provide maximum power with minimum effort. EQ cylinder
heads feature the company’s 23 degree small block Chevy performance
heads with Flow-Cast Technology that do not require any additional
machining, porting or polishing. EQ cylinder heads are ready to go
right out of the box. It is as simple as installing the valve train and
bolting it on.
