The 2008 season will be World Products’ second as title sponsor of the Empire State Series for IMCA Modifieds.
The Ronkonkoma, NY, manufacturer will award a set of assembled steel cylinder heads to the champion and furnish the $1,500 point fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in standings for the series, which opened in late May at Skyline Raceway.
Ten more tour dates are scheduled, at Woodhull Raceway, Thunder Mountain Speedway, Brewerton Speedway, Utica-Rome Speedway, Fonda Speedway, Fulton Speedway, Caprara’s Can-Am Speedway and Five Mile Point Speedway in New York, and at Redline Raceway and Penn Can Speedway in Pennsylvania.
World Products also returns as sponsor of national rookie of the year award programs in the IMCA Modified, Sprint Car and Stock Car divisions, and as a regional sponsor for Modified and Stock Car rookie awards.
The national Modified, Sprint and Stock rookies of the year all receive sets of assembled steel cylinder heads. All five Modified regional rookies of the year and both Stock Car regional rookies of the year earn $100 gift certificates, good toward the purchase of steel cylinder head sets. All drivers competing in series events or for rookie of the year awards are required to display two World Products decals on their race car to be eligible. Rookie of the year candidates must also complete a registration form and return it to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1.
“We were excited to have World Products become title sponsor of the Empire State Series last year and are equally thrilled to have them return this season,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Their triple threat presentation of cash point funds, product certificates and cylinder head giveaways makes World Products a wonderfully diverse and supportive IMCA partner.”
