Egge Machine and Speed Shop CEO Ernie Silvers, was awarded ARMO’s Person of the Year at the ARMO Reception held at this year’s SEMA Show.
With nearly 300-member companies, the Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) is the fastest growing council in the SEMA network that is committed to preserving and promoting the automotive restoration industry through its projects, education programs, and by monitoring legislative and/or regulatory issues that may affect its member companies, thus ensuring the longevity and prosperity of the automotive restoration industry. The award was presented by Dennis Gage, host of My Classic Car on the Speed Channel.
As Person of the Year, Silvers was recognized by his peers for his outstanding leadership and continued contributions to the automotive restoration industry. Silvers is currently serving as ARMO’s Immediate Past Chairman and has served in previous leadership positions on the ARMO Select Committee for the last four years. Silvers is currently member of the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Committee with oversight of the ARMO/Jeff Moses Scholarship, and also served on the 2008 SEMA Board of Director’s Selection Committee.
