PERA Spring Tech Meeting Preliminary Schedule

The Production Engine Remanufacturers Association (PERA) has announced its preliminary program for the upcomping Spring Tech Meeting to be held at Hilton Charlotte University Place, Charlotte, NC, March 18-20. In addition to an impressive line up of speakers, Richard Childress Racing has agreed to let PERA tour their shop. Hendrick Motor Sports will also host a tour of their facilities as well as perform an engine build, an event that is unprecedented by both race teams. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for those who are planning to attend. Mark your calendars as this is a meeting you will be talking about for years to come.

Wednesday, March 18:

Opening Reception 6:30 – 8:00 pm – Lake View Room 

Thursday, March 19:

This jam packed day will begin with breakfast at 8:00am and

conclude with a dinner at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

8:00 –8:45 am – Breakfast

9:00-9:15 am – Opening Remarks

9:15-10:45 am – Bob Rodriguez, ASE: Alternative Perspectives

10:45-11:00 am – Break

11:00 am -12:00 – Doug Anderson, Grooms Engines: Rebuilding the Late Model Hemi

12:00 -1:00 pm – Boxed Lunch in Route to RCR

1:00 – 4:00 pm – Tour Richard Childress Racing

4:00-5:00 pm – RCR to Lowe’s Motor Speedway

5:00-7:00 pm – Dinner and Events at Lowe’s

7:30 pm – Return to Hotel 

Friday, March 20:

8:00-9:00 am – Coffee Presentation, Lake Speed Jr., Joe Gibbs Racing Oil: Go Faster for Less

9:00-10:00 am – Breakfast Presentation, Mark Ferner, Shell Global Solutions: Synthetic Oils

10:00-11:00 am – Hotel Check Out and Drive to Hendrick Motorsports

11:00 am – Engine Build and Tour of Hendrick Motorsports
