Ernie Silvers Selected as Candidate for the SEMA Board of Directors

The SEMA Board Select Committee has chosen Egge CEO Ernie Silvers as a candidate for the 2009 SEMA Board of Directors’ election. Silvers is part of the prestigious slate of 10 candidates for six open seats.

"Put a New Face On…" is the theme of the campaign for Ernie Silvers. The central campaign piece is an "Ernie" mask on one side with the qualifications and candidacy statement on the reverse. Go to: www.Egge.com/Ernie to download your Ernie Mask, and you too will "have a face" on the board.

Endorsed by industry leaders including Dennis Gage who states: "Ernie Silvers is exactly the type of individual that the SEMA Board needs.  He understands the workings of the Association, and he was probably the best Select Committee Chair in the history of ARMO. He’s well aware of the issues that the restoration and hot rod categories face but perhaps more importantly, as CEO of Egge Machine he also knows the challenges faced by all companies in the Manufacturer’s Category.  Ernie is a good thinker and not afraid to take a stand.  I can’t think of a better candidate for the SEMA Board, and he definitely gets my vote! – Dennis Gage, Host and CEO, My Classic Car, LLC."

"SEMA is an excellent association and being a member of its Board would surely be a pinnacle in my diverse career – But it’s not about me – It’s about you and your needs as a SEMA member company. I can only promise I will do my very best to ensure members come first in the decision making process and SEMA continues to deliver tangible member benefits."

Ernie continues: "I am dedicated to SEMA’s mission and, when elected, firmly believe we can prepare your company for a successful and prosperous future in the automotive aftermarket."
