Pat
Muldoon, product development engineering senior manager for Chrysler’s
Mopar Parts Division, and Patrick Carpenter, director of OEM sales and
marketing for Springfield Remanufacturing Corp. (SRC), will team up to
present a seminar at the 2009 International BIG R Show on Monday, Nov.
2, in Las Vegas.
According to Carpenter, “We will address how the new economy affects
OEM’s and suppliers by looking back to yesterday and then taking a look
ahead to tomorrow. We will also deal with proper ways to communicate
each other’s issues and the value of proper core processing in today’s
green environment.”
Pat Muldoon commented, “At Mopar we feel that we have embarked on a
game-changing strategy. This strategy views our reman supply base not
as vendors but as partners with a voice in the process. This new
approach is all-inclusive, beginning well before the launch of new
programs to include how we capture core, and the decisions that are
made at program inception.”
Muldoon went on to say that, “With a small base of partner suppliers we
are well on our way to developing products that not only enhance our
businesses financially, but improve the quality and perceived quality
of our entire reman product offering. The ultimate goal is to delight
our customers and improve their experience. If we succeed at that, then
it will be a victory for everyone — rising tides lift all boats.”
APRA’s President, Bill Gager, added, “This blockbuster session will be
open to all attendees of the 2009 International BIG R Show and
Powertrain Expo. We are excited to have this level of participation by
Chrysler and SRC.”
