EngineQuest (EQ) has announced the winners of their 2009 PRI Show Cylinder Head and Prize Vault Giveaway promotion. The grand prize, a new set of cylinder heads, was awarded to Cathy Ewing of Ewing Auto Machine. The second and third place winners, Stan Chambliss and Darryl Felps, both of Santel Motorsports, will receive EQ branded merchandise including an EQ decal, tee shirt, hat and pen.
EQ’s cylinder head giveaway promotion was designed to help the company introduce its two newest cylinder heads to the marketplace. EQ’s first performance aluminum cylinder head fits any small block Chevy engine and can help achieve up to 500 horsepower right out of the box. This new replacement head, EQ p/n AC200BS, is affordably priced and comes bare or assembled, ready to install to the drive train with no porting or polishing needed.
The second new product is a Vortec Hybrid (marine or automotive) SBC cylinder head that is one of a kind on the market. Manufactured in Australia, EQ’s Vortec Hybrid also has a heat riser and is available for stock or performance applications. EQ p/n CH350G features ’87-’95 intake bolt pattern with center bolt valve cover mounting holes. EQ p/n CH350H is available in the ’69-’85 intake bolt pattern with perimeter valve cover mounting holes.
Grand Prize Winner, Cathy Ewing, will be able to select a set of either of these new products.
