EPWI names its 2009 “Vendor Of The Year” and “Representative Of The Year”

Howard Enterprises Named as EPWI’s 2009 Vendor of the Year

Mike Myers, Vice President, & Ron Thomas, M.I.K. Sales, accepted the award for Howard’s, EPWI’s supplier of engine kits and components for agricultural, heavy duty, industrial and construction vehicles and equipment under the “Advantage” and “Red Power” brands. The annual Vendor of the Year award is presented to the supplier or manufacturer based on scores in seven categories based on the prior year. Categories include distribution/sales polices, pricing policies, inventory, returns, labor claims, office support and shipping/packaging. Past recipients of this award include S.A. Gear, Total Seal, Pioneer, B&P Rods, COMP Cams, Cylinder Head Center, Clevite Engine Parts, Dura-Bond Bearing Co., Damper Doctor, Melling Engine Parts and Joe Gibbs Racing.

Fred Maten Named EPWI’s 2009 Representative of the Year

A surprised Fred Maten, Western Regional & Special Markets Sales Manager for S.B. International, accepted his award during a dinner presentation. Fred has sales responsibility for the Western half of the U.S., Alaska and Western Canada, plus three sales agencies. The Rep of the Year is selected annually, on a rotating basis by region, using combined votes based on scores in three categories: sales support, distribution philosophies, and timely and accurate follow-through.
