EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Tour Wraps Up 2010 Season

Driver Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, N.M. wrapped up the 2010 EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Tour and in the process became the first International Motor Contest Association (IMCA)  national champion from New Mexico in any division. DeVilbiss is the second driver from the Western Region to win IMCA’s national Modified title.

In the 2010 EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Tour final point standings, Justin Yeager finished second, Ryan Cotrell placed third, with Michael Hale in fourth and Travis Metz rounded out the top five.

"We are excited to see the 2010 tour conclude and congratulate Zane on his championship," said David Wilson, EQ’s national sales director. "We are happy to support IMCA racing because they offer the best grassroots racing in the U.S. It’s a great place to demonstrate how our stock and performance heads can compete on the track. ”

In addition to its title sponsorship of the EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Tour, EngineQuest® (EQ) is a general sponsor of IMCA racing and provides contingency awards to drivers in five IMCA divisions.

EQ’s early 350 cylinder head (#CH350I) is approved as a direct replacement for the IMCA Northern and Southern Sport Mod Divisions and Hobby Stock division and has become the head of choice by the most competitive teams. EQ’s high performance 23° cylinder heads are used in both the Modified and Stock car classes with great results.
