EPWI named SB International its 2010 Vendor of the Year. Fred Maten, Regional Sales Manager, accepted the award for SBI, a key supplier of cylinder head components to EPWI. Fred was honored last summer as 2009 EPWI Rep of the Year. The annual Vendor of the Year award is presented to the supplier or manufacturer based on scores in seven categories based on the prior year. Categories include distribution/sales policies, pricing policies, inventory, returns, labor claims, office support and shipping/packaging.

Past recipients of this award include S.A. Gear, Total Seal, Pioneer, B&P Rods, COMP Cams, Cylinder Head Center, Clevite Engine Parts, Dura-Bond Bearing Co., Damper Doctor, Melling Engine Parts, Joe Gibbs Racing and Howard Enterprises.

Engine & Performance Warehouse also named Lake Speed, Jr. as its 2010 Representative of the Year. Speed is a Certified Lubrication specialist and EPWI’s key sales and programs management contact. He accepted his award during the presentation dinner with his wife, Elise, and sons Jackson and Benjamin, at his side. Lake has provided customer seminars & clinics in all of EPWI’s warehouse cities, as well as in other cities they serve. He was instrumental in Joe Gibbs Racing being awarded EPWI’s 2008 Vendor of the Year award. The Rep of the Year is selected annually, on a rotating basis by region, using combined votes based on scores in three categories: sales support, distribution philosophies, and timely and accurate follow-through.
