JE Pistons’ new Midwest manufacturing facility will allow the company to offer reduced delivery lead-times and lower shipping costs for many customers. The company said the new facility will be operational in the second quarter of 2012.
“JE Pistons is a responsive company that makes it a priority to take care of its customer needs at a crucial time in the industry,” said JE parent company president Bob Hange of PMi. “We are dedicated to taking advantage of the strengths and capabilities within our global PMi parent company to provide customers with the highest quality products at a cost they can afford. This expanded piston manufacturing capability represents PMi’s commitment to increase support and service to performance customers.”
JE Pistons will make a significant investment in equipment for the expanding manufacturing capabilities in the Midwest facility. This move will also allow JE Pistons to introduce enhanced coating options that have become an important feature for customers.
JE said its customers will have a seamless transition to the Midwest facility because order placement, customer service and technical support will continue to be handled through its Huntington Beach, Calif., location.
