PERA?Announces 67th Annual Convention Preliminary Schedule

The PERA Conference Planning Committee has developed an intriguing program of business and technical meetings as well as tours of Seattle-area businesses and manufacturing locations to enhance business and networking opportunities.

The Mayflower Park Hotel is ideally located steps away from Seattle’s most exciting attractions, including the famous Pike Place Market, Seattle Waterfront, and Space Needle.

The conference schedule includes a presentation on GM’s Gen IV engine family, tours of LKQ Corp., Bellingham, WA; B&G Machine, Seattle; and Rottler Manufacturing, Kent, WA. A Friday night dinner cruise on picturesque Elliott Bay aboard the Royal Argosy will be included.

Wednesday, September 19

8-9:00 am – Working breakfast with a presentation by Peter Butterfield, LKQ Corp.: “LKQ’s Vision for the Industry.”

9:30 – 3:00 pm – Conference tour of LKQ Corp.’s Bellingham, WA, facility.

10:00 am – Optional Spouse tour – “Savor Seattle.”

6:30-8:00 pm – Opening Reception.

Thursday, September 20

8-9:00 am – Working breakfast with a presentation by Doug Anderson, Grooms Engines: “GM Gen IV Engine Family.”

9-10:00 am – “The Future of Turbochargers in L.D. Engines,” presented by Matthias Stegmeuller, Mahle.

10-10:15 am – Break

10:15-11:15 am – “Lubricants Keeping Pace With and Enabling Hardware Technology Advancement?” presented by Mark Ferner, Shell Global Solutions.

• Afternoon Optional events include Golf outing at West Seattle Golf Club and “Show Me Seattle” Tour.

• Evening Open.

Friday, September 21

8-9:00 am – Working Breakfast: “Changing The Family Business in the Industry,” presented by David Bianchi, B&G Machine.

9:30 am – Depart for tour of B&G Machine.

12:30-4 pm –Tour of Rottler Mfg., and lunch.

6:30 pm – Boarding of the Royal Argosy begins at Pier 56 in Seattle.
