Russo and Steele Teams With Edelbrock For Childrens Charity Fundraiser

Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions has an entire program dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Edelbrock’s youth initiatives along with The Center for Learning Unlimited, during its 12th Annual "Sports and Muscle in Monterey" auction event this August 16-18, 2012.

The fundraising will begin with a charity auction on Thursday, August 16th prior to the automobiles crossing the auction block. Items for auction will be everything from a wine refrigerator filled with wine to jewelry collectables, watches and more; check the Russo and Steele Monterey Charity page for continual updates.

In addition to the charity auction, Russo and Steele has dubbed Friday, August 17, as "Edelbrock Day" and has pledged to provide $5 from each general admission ticket bought at the door to Edelbrock’s charity of choice, Rev’ved Up 4 Kids. On Friday, Christi and Vic Edelbrock, along with Rich Evans and Von Hot Rod, will be onsite to sign autographs.

"For more than two decades, The Center for Learning Unlimited has been dedicated to successfully serving the social, emotional and educational needs of bright, complex children and youth," said Drew Alcazar, co-owner and CEO of Russo and Steele. "Over the years, Josephine and I have always had a special place in our hearts when it comes to non-profits dedicated to empowering and assisting the children of our community. However, now that we have five grandchildren and see the challenges that lie ahead of children today first hand, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to join Christi Edelbrock in her quest to make a difference in the lives of these children."

Russo and Steele also sponsored Edelbrock’s 7th annual Rev’ved Up 4 Kids car show on May 5 – 6, 2012. Spectators of the show enjoyed a day of hot rods, great food, and live entertainment. All proceeds from the event went directly to The Center for Learning Unlimited.

"We are pleased to bring Rev’ved Up 4 Kids to Russo and Steele’s 12th Annual Sports and Muscle auction event in beautiful Monterey, CA. With their new venue on the waterfront and the passion that drives the Russo and Steele team, this event offers a spectacular back drop for our collaboration in the effort to educate America’s youth," said Vic Edelbrock, chairman of the Edelbrock Corporation.

Christi Edelbrock, vice president of business development, and founder of Rev’ved Up 4 Kids, shared: "We are so very blessed to have the overwhelming support for our initiatives. With our passion, hard work and determination, we have continued raising money to support children across many venues. Our goal is to expand our focus, further engage our community, sponsors and partners to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation; Russo and Steele is a perfect partner to help us achieve these goals."
