Smith Brothers Pushrods was started in California in 1953 by Hank and Joe Smith and was later moved to Bend, Oregon in the early 90’s to enjoy the clean air, mountains and streams. In 1999 the company was purchased by Dennis and Kristen Marshall and operated out of a 4,000 sq ft building. Dennis soon began upgrading machining equipment and quickly outgrew the original location.
In 2001 they began construction on a 10,000 sq.ft. building and moved in 2002. Business continued to grow and more equipment was purchased, and they were soon out of space again. In 2005, they moved yet again to a larger 14,400 sq.ft. facility that was home until January, 2013.
The company says it has expanded its operations to include not only the manufacture of custom and OEM replacement pushrods, but they have developed their own line of rocker arm adjusting screws and nuts, extra strong Harley-Davidson pushrods along with a H-D fast install pushrod upgrade kit.
