The staff of Engine Builder magazine has announced the Top 16 Semi-Finalists in the 2nd Annual Performance Engine Builder of the Year program, sponsored by Driven Racing Oil.
The award is presented to the performance shop that best exhibits the qualities of creativity and innovation, training and education, merchandising and promotion, professional standards and conduct, appearance, solid business management, community involvement, business growth, achievement and victories. The winning shop is chosen by the staff at Engine Builder magazine and Driven Racing Oil.
The Performance Engine Builder of the Year will be announced in a special presentation at the 2013 Advanced Engineering Technology Conference (AETC) in Indianapolis, December 8-11.

As part of the judging process and to narrow the Top 16 down to the winner, these finalists are requested to answer additional questions about their shop and submit materials, photos, shop promotional items, etc., to the Engine Builder staff.
The winner of the Performance Engine Builder of the Year Award receives a plaque recognizing their achievement, along with $1,000, an Apple iPad and three nights lodging at the Indianapolis Hyatt, Dec. 8-10, 2013 during AETC.
A feature story on the winning shop will also highlight the January 2014 issue of Engine Builder magazine.
The second- and third-place finalists receive a plaque and a Kindle Fire, as well as special recognition in the March 2014 issue.
This is the second consecutive year the award will be presented. The winner of the inaugural contest was Ed Pink Racing Engines in Van Nuys, CA.
