Custom Titanium Valves from Manley Performance

manleyperformManley’s one-piece forged titanium valves have long been a standard of the industry, having earned a reputation for reliability in many racing venues.

There are currently more than 250 different off-the-shelf part numbers for Manley titanium valves, covering a wide range of applications and valve sizes.

The company now offers an expanded range of custom options, including hollow stem intakes, a special “thin film” seat face coating and “fluted dish” lightening.

The hollow stem titanium intake valves provide a 10-12% reduction in weight over conventional “solid” valves.

The valves are precision gun-drilled and feature a generous corner radius to eliminate stress risers. A hard steel tip can be employed on valves with a 5/16″ or larger stem diameter.

Dramatic improvements in valve seat face wear are achieved with the application of a “thin film” seat face coating.

This coating also serves to maintain an optimum seal between the valve seat face and the seat in the cylinder head to help produce maximum horsepower.

Additional lightening of the valve is available through machining the combustion face of the valve with a fluted dish. Special head shapes and seat cuts are also available through Manley’s custom titanium valve program. Standard “square” grooves or the Manley-developed Bead-Loc® design are also available.

For more information check out Manley’s new 2014 catalog, which can be downloaded at www.manleyperformance.com, or call 732-905-3366. A printed copy of the catalog and a Manley T-shirt are available for $10. Remit to Manley Performance, 1960 Swarthmore Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
