In the 1st “life” of these engines, they powered America’s favorite sedans and muscle cars from the ‘50s to the ‘70s. In their 2nd life, these stump-pulling V8s drove an entire generation of light duty trucks from the late ‘60s to the ‘90s; an era when passenger cars and their engines were being downsized. The 3rd life of these classic V8s is in racing and street performance. That life began in the late ‘50s and is still going strong today.
