Schumann’s Small Block Chevy Dual Feed Oil Pump System

Schumann’s Small Block Chevy dual feed oil pump system is now available for X-TRA volume 1.500 gear STD, volume 1.200 gear and low volume 1.000. Schumann’s patented dual feed pump supplies equal amount of oil to the bottom of the gears and to the top third of the gears in operational engine running characteristics.

Schumann’s Small Block Chevy dual feed oil pump system is now available for X-TRA volume 1.500 gear STD, volume 1.200 gear and low volume 1.000.  Schumann’s patented dual feed pump supplies equal amount of oil to the bottom of the gears and to the top third of the gears in operational engine running characteristics.

The net result of the dual feed design is the highest percentage of lubrication oil discharge from pump, lowest percentage of aerated oil discharge from pump. Improved engine longevity at all lubrication points throughout the engine. The true ball valve used is actually a modulation valve, which discharges through the bottom of the pump through a diffuser screen.

The intake flow of oil never stops and is always flowing towards the gears. An O.E.M. cup system, the intake flow has three choices: 1. Active flow towards the gears. 2. No flow as cup by-pass is directed into the main gear chamber. 3. Reverse flow caused by abrupt R.P.M. throttle de-acceleration and air attempts to fill the intake tube.
