Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ Third Annual Automotive Technician Scholarships

For the third consecutive year, Federal-Mogul Motorparts will award $30,000 in scholarships to future automotive technicians who are enrolled in accredited, U.S.-based automotive technical schools, colleges or universities. The scholarships are part of the company’s comprehensive “Tech First” initiative.

For the third consecutive year, Federal-Mogul Motorparts will award $30,000 in scholarships to future automotive technicians who are enrolled in accredited, U.S.-based automotive technical schools, colleges or universities. The scholarships are part of the company’s comprehensive “Tech First” initiative, which includes the nationwide Garage Gurus network of technical education centers.

Motorparts will award 12 $2,500 Garage Gurus Automotive Technician Scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year. Applications are being accepted now and are available at www.FMgaragegurus.com/scholarship. All materials must be submitted by April 30, 2017.

Scholarship awards will be based on completed applications, written essays or videos describing “Why I want to be a top technician,” and other criteria. All applications and related materials will be reviewed by Federal-Mogul Motorparts employees and its team of ASE Master certified Garage Gurus.

Through this program, we are happy to encourage current students along the path to obtaining the technical education they need to build a successful career in the automotive repair business.”

State-of-the-art Garage Gurus technical education centers are now in operation in 12 U.S. markets – Atlanta; Baltimore; Boston; the Bronx, N.Y.; Chicago; Dallas/Fort Worth; Houston; Rancho Dominguez, Calif.; South Florida; St. Louis; Suburban Detroit; and Van Nuys, Calif.
