MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. has announced the “Drive with the Original” promotion with a grand prize of a custom-built, twin-turbocharged, MAHLE Ford Mustang from Petty’s Garage to celebrate the launch of the MAHLE Original gasket brand.

The “Drive with the Original” promotion, unlike anything MAHLE Aftermarket has done before, will run from November 1, 2016 to October 1, 2017. Four finalists will be randomly selected from all entries to receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the 2017 Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas. The “Original”, Richard Petty will be there when the finalists select a key fob, one of which will start the grand prize MAHLE Original Petty’s Garage Mustang.

In addition to the grand prize Mustang, over 2,400 additional instant prizes will be awarded, including Richard Petty Driving Experiences, autographed Richard Petty signature Charlie 1 Horse cowboy hats, autographed #43 die-cast model cars, insulated tumbler mugs and baseball hats.

“This is a great way for us to thank technicians for putting their trust in MAHLE Original gaskets,” said Jon Douglas, general manager of MAHLE Aftermarket North America. “We’ll be giving away thousands of prizes, including a fabulous custom Mustang from Petty’s Garage.”

The promotion is open to all professional technicians in the United States when their shop purchases select MAHLE Original gasket sets. The MAHLE Original gasket box will include a sticker with detailed information the technician can use to enter the promotion. The promotion features an instant win component where it reveals whether the technician has been awarded one of the instant prizes.

Even if the technician does not win instantly, they are still entered in the drawing for one of the four trips to Las Vegas for the grand prize drawing. Technicians can enter every time their shop purchases a select MAHLE Original gasket set.

The four finalists will be announced on or about October 5, 2017. The parts outlet that sold the MAHLE Original gasket sets to the four finalists will receive an all-expense paid trip to the 2018 Daytona 500.

The MAHLE Petty’s Garage Ford Mustang comes with distinctive custom paint in MAHLE blue and is powered by a twin turbo, 1,000 horsepower 5.0-liter engine. The engine is built with MAHLE internal components throughout, which includes MAHLE Original branded gaskets. Petty’s Garage has specially modified the suspension, spoiler and interior. Upgraded, high-performance wheels and tires complete the package.
