Royal Purple has released Max-Blast, its new intake valve cleaner, formulated to directly deliver detergent to intake valve deposits (IVD). Max-Blast provides highly effective removal and clean-up of harmful IVD, thereby restoring lost horsepower and fuel economy. Reducing IVD and other combustion deposits can also reduce the potential for LSPI (low speed pre-ignition), which can lead to catastrophic engine damage.

The new product was created in order to help car owners maintain a clean, efficient engine. Without proactive cleaning using an effective intake valve cleaner such as Max-Blast, engines are susceptible to formation of IVD’s. This is especially the case with GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engines, which form coked, stubborn-to-remove IVD’s. Accumulation of IVD’s can lead to power loss, increased emissions, reduced fuel economy, rough idle, harder starts and misfire codes.

Max-Blast is the only polyether amine (PEA)-based aerosol engine intake cleaner to have less than 10% total VOC content, making it a more environment-friendly choice to consumers. The product is formulated with a highly-concentrated, proprietary, high flash point PEA detergent and solvent carrier. This allows the product to remain in an active liquid form when it reaches deposits, further increasing cleaning effectiveness.

“When we created Max-Blast, we wanted to offer a solution that any Do-It-Yourself car enthusiast could use,” said Debby Neubauer, Royal Purple Vice President of Marketing. “It’s packaged with a 360-degree valve, which allows it to be sprayed from any angle.  This makes it much easier to use than other products, allowing anyone to safely and effectively remove intake valve deposits.”
