Racers and engine builders of GM LS series engines now have brand new, extreme usage valve spring, retainer, locator, valve lock and valve stem seal kits that all help to safely extend engine RPM and boost performance capabilities with normally aspirated or power-added LS engines.
The new Lunati LS Dual Valve Spring Kit features precision wound, heat-set, Signature Series dual valve springs for required seat and open load pressure, plus total spring travel to accommodate cams with aggressive gross valve lifts of up to .660″. The valve springs in each kit are carefully tension matched and all supplied components come complete and ready to install. Also included are Lunati CNC machined, 4140 chrome moly steel retainers, CAD designed to deliver maximum strength and durability.
Precision-fit locators are cleverly designed to accurately locate the inner spring, thus preventing abrasion with LS aluminum cylinder heads. Precision-machined steel alloy 7-degree valve locks are also provided for superior valve stem holding reliability. Last, premium quality, Viton synthetic rubber, steel reinforced valve stem seals are included for correct valve stem lubrication and oil control.
Lunati also offers a high performance, LS Lightweight Dual Valve Spring Kit that incorporates all of the same components as the regular LS dual valve spring kit, but contains retainers that are engineered from a highly optimized, lightweight design utilizing an exclusive tool steel alloy. They are CAD and FEA optimized and CNC machined for higher RPM use in extreme applications such as endurance circle track, off road, road racing or marine uses.
