Elgin Industries Looks Good in John Deere Green

Elgin Industries has been named a "Partner-level" supplier for 2017 and "Power Systems Supplier of the Year" in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program.

Elgin Industries has been named a “Partner-level” supplier for 2017 and “Power Systems Supplier of the Year” in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program.

Elgin has achieved Partner-level status – Deere & Company’s highest supplier rating – for six consecutive years. This is the first time the company has been recognized as Supplier of the Year.  Elgin provides internal engine components to multiple John Deere locations worldwide.

“We are exceptionally proud to have achieved this impressive recognition as a valued partner to John Deere,” said Elgin Industries President Bill Skok. “Our team begins each day with a mission to provide superior products, services and value to our customers.”

Elgin Industries was selected for the honors in recognition of its dedication to providing products and services of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement. Company employees accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held recently in Elgin, IL.

Suppliers participating in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
