COMP Cams has introduced the first performance aftermarket camshaft in almost 20 years to pass the stringent California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order (E.O.) process for a domestic engine. The CARB E.O.-certified camshaft offers drop-in convenience, with no valve spring change required, for the following GM LS applications: • Gen III/IV Three-Bolt 8 Cyl. 1997-2015 • LS2/LS3 Gen IV Single-Bolt w/o VVT & AFM 8 Cyl. 2007-2015 • Gen IV Single-Bolt w/ VVT (12606358) & AFM 8 Cyl. 2008-2015.
FSL Cams for the Gen III/IV three-bolt and LS2/LS3 single-bolt applications can produce a 30 to 90 hp increase in peak power while the version for Gen IV single-bolt cams works with factory Variable Valve Timing and features unique profiles on switching and non-switching cylinders for compatibility with Active Fuel Management, while providing the proven 30+ hp improvement typical of smaller COMP Cams camshafts in LS applications.
All of this comes without the risk of non-compliance with emissions regulations. The COMP Cams FSL Series Camshafts for GM LS Engines claimed the 2017 SEMA Best New Street Performance Product Award and are the first in a new series of 50-state legal camshafts.
