Owosso Speedway, locally known as “The Big O” was established in 1940 as one of the first race tracks in Michigan. The track is located on highway M-21 in Ovid, Michigan, just outside of Lansing.
The track’s colorful history includes serving as a POW Camp for captured German soldiers during World War II. The track has also been raced by many top racers including Benny Parsons, Brad Keselowski and Erik Jones.
The 40-acre facility features a 3/8 mile paved, banked, short track oval. Weekly racing includes Late Mods, Mods, Street Stock, and Pure Stock. The turn-key facility comes ready to operate and includes:
A Full Sound System, Full Lighting System, Tow Truck, Broom Tractor, Water Truck, Two Safety/Track Clean-Up Trucks, Tire Garage, Concrete Pits, Weigh-In Scales, a 5-Position Score Board, Timing Equipment, Guest Suites, Concessions, a Fully Functional Kitchen, and a Souvenir Building.
