Who Doesn’t Love a Little Recognition?

Who Doesn’t Love a Little Recognition?

In my opinion, there are only a small handful of feelings greater than that of being recognized for good, hard work. In my time at Engine Builder magazine, I’ve seen few people who are more passionate, harder working and more deserving of getting overdue recognition than the engine builders around this country.

In my opinion, there are only a small handful of feelings greater than that of being recognized for good, hard work. In my time at Engine Builder magazine, I’ve seen few people who are more passionate, harder working and more deserving of getting overdue recognition than the engine builders around this country.

Back in my June column, I introduced our America’s Best Engine Shops contest for 2019. Here at Engine Builder magazine, we’re always looking to reward the engine builders of the industry, and this will be the eighth year we’ve done so through this competitive contest.

For 2019, we’d like to welcome our new sponsor of the America’s Best Engine Shops contest – Engine Parts Warehouse and its brands Erson Cams, World Products and PBM Performance Products. Together, Engine Builder and Engine Parts Warehouse are excited about the chance to scour the country looking for the best of the best engine shops across three different categories – Race, Vintage and Diesel.

Through the 2019 America’s Best Engine Shops contest, we want to recognize those shops that are creative and innovative, prioritize training and education, emphasize marketing, merchandising and promotion, maintain professional standards and conduct, take pride in appearance, business management, community involvement, business growth, achievement and victories.

You’ve done the hard work of starting and running a successful engine business in this tough industry, now don’t be humble! Grab the recognition your shop deserves!

The contest is open now through October 31. Entries can be made by visiting www.TopEngineBuilders.com where engine builders can nominate themselves for the award or others can nominate a shop they feel is worthy of this recognition.

Again, a winner in each category – Race, Vintage and Diesel – will be chosen and recognized at an awards celebration before the PRI Show, in the pages of Engine Builder magazine and online at enginebuildermag.com. The question remains, are you one of America’s Best Engine Shops?

New Year’s Resolution

It’s crazy to think that 2021 is coming to a close. The days and weeks in a year always feel long, but the months and the year itself, absolutely fly by. It’s strange how that always is the case. There’s no stopping Father Time as they say! All we can do is forge ahead and

I’ve actually lost track of how long it’s been since people started claiming print was dead. It’s been a while! Now, I understand the ‘print is dead’ claim might be different for newspapers than it is for magazines, but I can tell you this – the content landscape has certainly been shifting.
