Elgin Industries Recognized as Continued John Deere Supplier

Elgin Industries has been recognized for the tenth consecutive year as a John Deere Partner-level Supplier, the highest rating awarded through Deere & Company’s Achieving Excellence (AE) program. Elgin also has been inducted into the company’s 10-Year Supplier Hall of Fame.

Founded in 1919 and with state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and distribution operations in Elgin, Ill., Elgin supplies piston pins and push rods to Deere & Company facilities worldwide. It has earned AE Partner-level status each year since 2012 and was AE Powertrain Supplier of the Year in 2017.

Established in 1991, the Achieving Excellence program evaluates John Deere suppliers annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness.

Partner-level status is awarded to suppliers for dedication to providing products and service of outstanding quality as well as a commitment to continuous improvement.

“Our relationship with Deere & Company is a source of tremendous pride for every member of our organization, and we take our responsibility as a John Deere supplier very seriously,” said Elgin President Bill Skok. “We thank everyone associated with the Achieving Excellence program for their outstanding collaboration.”
