DNR Custom's Billet 6.7L Cummins Engine - Engine Builder Magazine

DNR Custom’s Billet 6.7L Cummins Engine

Diesel of the Week is presented by

At the end of April, the performance diesel crowd gathered at Wagler Motorsports Park in Lyons, IN for a weekend of racing, which included the Outlaw Diesel Super Series. Among the notable competitors was Derek Rose of DNR Customs and his brand-new, billet, 6.7L Cummins-based engine named Billet Bitch 2.0. According to Derek, this new diesel engine built by Freedom Racing Engines / Fleece Performance was a year and a half in the making that encompassed a ton of hard work, money spent, late nights, and grey hairs. All of that paid off as Derek set the new record for the world’s fastest 4wd diesel-powered pickup after knocking off a 4.44-sec 1/8th-mile pass at 171 mph at Wagler’s!

The 4.44-sec pass gave Derek a runner-up finish in the ODSS Pro Mod class, and the title of the planet’s fastest 4wd diesel pickup. We caught up with Derek Rose at UCC 2022 where he took home 2nd overall.
